About Dumpling Hunting

Dumpling Hunting tracks RMS Mystery Dumplings and SmushMart squishies at Five Below. It answers one question for collectors: which stores have the one you're looking for right now?

Where the numbers come from

We check Five Below's own store availability information for each dumpling we track. The checks run in passes several times a day across about 2,000 Five Below stores in 47 states and Washington, D.C. Our store list comes from Five Below's official store directory. Alaska, Hawaii and Montana don't appear because we have no tracked stores there.

A single pass doesn't reach every store, and coverage differs by dumpling. Some are checked at every store we track, others at a smaller set. That's why every count on the site comes with the time it was checked.

Treat a stock report as a signal. It tells you what Five Below's system showed at that time. Shelves move faster than any system, so a store can show stock while the shelf is empty, or the other way around.

How we identify each dumpling

Many dumplings have similar names, and the same name sometimes comes back in a new release with a new SKU. So we keep identifiers per release: the Five Below SKU and the UPC barcode number printed on the back of the package.

Each number on a dumpling page carries a label:

If we don't know a number, we leave it blank instead of guessing.

Free to use

Dumpling pages, identifiers, stock counts by state and the guides are free to use. Hunter, a paid membership with store names and no ads, is coming soon.

Who we are

Dumpling Hunting is run by Sunder & Co, a small team that collects and tracks these dumplings.

We aren't affiliated with Five Below or RMS International. Product names belong to their owners. Some links to eBay listings are affiliate links, so we may earn a small commission if you buy through them.
